

MBChB (UCT) FCP(SA) MMED(WITS) Dip HIVman(SA)
He graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2011, with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). Throughout his career, Dr Sunnyraj has served in state hospitals across South Africa and found his calling taking care of patients in the Internal Medicine department.
In 2015 he attained a Diploma in HIV Management from the Colleges of Medicine South Africa (CMSA). He went on to complete four years of training as a Medical Registrar in Internal Medicine, and graduated from the University of Witwatersrand as a Specialist Physician. He earned his Master of Medicine degree (MMed) in 2021.
As a Specialist Physician, Dr Sunnyraj worked in academic hospitals in Gauteng and then made the transition to the private sector, to work at Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt in Bellville West, Cape Town.
The aim of his practice is to use his wealth of knowledge and experience to enhance his patients quality of life. By bringing the latest innovations, like personalised medicine for the treatment of metabolic diseases - most notably type 2 diabetes and dyslipidaemia - he hopes to assist patients to live longer and healthier lives.
In his personal time, Dr Sunnyraj enjoys spending time with his family and trail running.
